Annual All Florida Juried Exhibit Now Accepting Applications - posted by FFAB

63rd Annual All Florida Juried Competition and Exhibition at the Boca Raton Museum of Art
August 10 - October 25, 2014

As the state's oldest annual juried competition, the All Florida has introduced the work of thousands of Florida artists working in all media: emerging, mid-career, and established artists. It reinforces the Museum's commitment to Florida artists, provides professional exhibition opportunities for emerging artists, and reveals a provocative glimpse -- through Florida artists' eyes -- of the state-of-the-art today through approximately 100 paintings, sculpture, photographs, video and installations.

Florida's oldest annual juried all-media competition will return to the Boca Museum of Art, showcasing prominent and emerging Florida artists August 10 -- October 25, 2014.

This is an important opportunity for artists to show their work in a museum setting.  Inclusion in museum shows is also a real resume builder for any artist.  I wish more of our States Museum's would have shows like this.  One complaint I do always here from artists is around the high entry fees often charged for submissions. Entry fees should not be looked on as a money making opportunity for the Museums.  Keep the entry fees low with private sponsorship fundraising.  This will make sure the show is accessible to artists at all career levels.

The All Florida show at the Boca Museum is always of the highest quality. The show takes up the whole first floor and is presented beautifully.

As someone who has juried many an art show I am always interested in the juror's selections.  Reading the Jurors statement, especially when the Juror is from out of State, provides a fresh perspective into our regional art scene. It's also interesting every year to see themes develop within the show and the newer mediums and techniques that are deployed.  GL
