Luis Bourgenois created work for more than 5 decades and was still working at 98. The last major retrospective of her work was held at the Tate Modern in London in 2007. In 1997 Luis was awarded the National Medal of Art. It is the highest honor conferred to an individual artist on behalf of the American people. GL
