Curious about contemporary art? Whether you are eager to enhance your current knowledge or are looking to start with basics, MOCA's Contemporary Art Boot Camp is the place to be. Discover the art of four pivotal decades from the 1960's to the 1990's during a lively series of lectures presented by MOCA Executive Director and Chief Curator Bonnie Clearwater based on her extensive original research and personal contact with artists who defined contemporary art.

Bonnie Clearwater is a noted art historian of contemporary art and author of The Rothko Book (Tate.Abrams), Ed Ruscha: Words without Thought (Abrams), Frank Stella at 2000: Changing the Rules (MOCA, North Miami), Julian Schnabel: Version of Chuck and other Works (Derneburg Publications), Defining the Nineties: Consensus-making in New York, Miami and Los Angeles, Ana Mendieta : A Book of Works (Grassfield Press), and West Coast Duchamp (Grassfield Press), among others.

Discover the art of the 1990s during part four of a lively lecture series presented by MOCA Executive Director and Chief Curator Bonnie Clearwater based on her extensive original research and personal contact with artists who defined contemporary art. Lectures begin at 7:30 pm.

$10 per lecture for MOCA members, North Miami residents and City of North Miami employees; $12 for non-members; $3 for students with ID. Miami-Dade County educators may earn MPP points by registering online at the MDCPS site.
