Convening Culture Conference, Fort Lauderdale - Feb. 1 - 2, 2016

Citizens for Florida Arts, Inc. is proud to present the 2016 Convening Culture Conference, a statewide event that brings together individuals working in arts and culture in Florida, to learn about and share the latest national trends in this industry.
This conference will be the forum for the Florida Division of Cultural Affairs to facilitate a deeper look at aspects of its new strategic plan, which has an emphasis on the diversity that makes Florida so distinctive. Featuring discussions on a variety of levels within both cultural programming and cultural organizations, the conference will also highlight the work of artists whose work speaks to this theme. Sessions will touch on areas of marketing, fundraising, collaboration and leadership in addition to others.
Opening the conference are two half-day workshops, presented by nationally-renowned speakers, that can be attended as stand-alone events at a nominal fee, or you can choose to pay the $100 conference fee and these workshops, lunches and evening events will be included in your registration fee.

Ms. Valeria Piaggio serves as the Head of Polycultural Insights & Consulting and Vice President at The Futures Company and served as its Vice President of Multicultural Insights since August 2014. In this capacity, Ms. Piaggio served as the conceptual leader and chief consultant for their launched Total Market subscription offer -- the first and only unified multicultural and general market consumer insights service. Ms. Piaggio serves as Senior Director, Consumer Strategy of Iconoculture, Inc. In addition, she also serves as the Global Knowledge Lead for multicultural marketplace trends in support of The Future Company's strategic insight, planning and innovation consultancy.
