Many new buyers, record prices and lots of enthusiasm marked the Postwar and Contemporary sale at Christie's. One of Jasper Johns "Flags" sold for $28.4 million far above the $10 - $15 million estimate. The painting was only owned by one previous owner, the late
Michael Crichton. Mr Crichton's offered collection totaled $93.3 million,
